9/11 Uterine/Endometrial Cancer Victims Will Soon Be Entitled to Compensation from Victim Compensation Fund

endometrial cancerUterine (Endometrial) Cancer at a Glance

Uterine cancer is the growth of abnormal cells in the uterus and is the 4th most common cancer in women in the United States. Uterine cancer is frequently is called endometrial cancer because more than 90% of cases involve the endometrium, the lining of the uterus.

Uterine Cancer to be Added to List of World Trade Center Health Program Eligible Cancers

The Administrator of the World Trade Center Health Program recommended adding uterine cancers, including endometrial cancer, to the list of cancers eligible for treatment earlier this year. Several Congressional leaders support adding endometrial cancer, and we believe it will be added to the eligible list soon.

When uterine cancer is added to the list of eligible conditions, the WTC Health Program will certify 9/11 responders and survivors for uterine cancer, entitling victims with a 9/11-related uterine (or endometrial) cancer to treatment and compensation from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Uterine cancer probably will be added to the list of World Trade Center Health Program eligible conditions by the end of 2022. Uterine cancer patients who lived or worked in lower Manhattan or were exposed to 9/11 dust and debris should begin the process of applying for certification and compensation. We are accepting clients with uterine cancer claims.
