Uterine cancer is the growth of abnormal cells in the uterus and is the 4th most common cancer in women in the United States. Uterine cancer is frequently is called endometrial cancer because more than 90% of cases involve the endometrium, the lining of the uterus.

Uterine Cancer Added to List of World Trade Center Health Program Eligible Cancers

In January 2023, the Administrator of the World Trade Center Health Program added uterine cancers, including endometrial cancer, to the list of cancers eligible for treatment. This means that uterine and endometrial cancer victims are entitled to compensation from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Uterine and endometrial cancer victims can expect to receive $250,000 for pain and suffering and compensation for lost earnings if the cancer disabled them from working. Families of eligible uternine and endomentrial cancer victims who died of their cancers are entitled to death benefits from the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.

Uterine cancer patients who lived or worked in lower Manhattan or were exposed to 9/11 dust and debris should apply for certification and compensation.
